Body Massage Oil

Visit a natural food store to choose organic vegetable oils and nuts, like olive oil, sweet almond oil, jojoba, avocado and vitamin E. You will mix them in different proportions to your home base for massage oils, so choose a few species.

Choose essential oils (highly concentrated aromatic herbs and flower essences) is added to the base. Essential oils have medicinal benefits and add dimension to the aromatherapy massage. Arnika, rosemary and St. John's wort is one of the most popular oil for massage oil, but you have to experiment to their favorites.


Mix your base oils together in a large glass or plastic container with tight lid. Use more olive oil than any other species, because the good neutral foundation. Add about one third as much as sweet almond or avocado oil and olive oil. Use smaller amounts of vitamin E and jojoba. These oils are more expensive and have medicinal benefits, and you do not have enough of them.


Cap the container tightly and shake to mix oil and thoroughly.


Use a funnel to pour your base oil in small plastic squeeze or pump spray bottle for use in massage. Drug dropper, add a few drops of fragrant essential oil based on oil in the bottle. Slightly smaller bottle to mix oil.


Re-cap large container home massage oil and store in a cool, dark place. Not cool.

Some oil, from which you can opt for massage therapy include:

* Sweet almond oil - Anti-inflammatory, mild and good for most skin types, especially dry skin.

* Apricot kernel oil - reduces stress, provides a good balance for all skin types, especially prematurely aging skin.

* Avocado oil - This is the best heavy oil diluted 10% lighter oil.

* Borage Oil - Good for eczema and psoriasis, which penetrates, regenerates and stimulates.

* Castor oil - A thick, sticky oil good for the drawing of the toxins and for use in scar tissue. Best used in the lining.

* Coconut oil - A thick, heavy oil, which must be heated before use. Good for cracked skin.

* Emu oil - Anti-inflammatory and is used for arthritis, sore muscles, bruises and eczema. They can block pores.

* Grapefruit Seed Oil - Non-allergenic and good for all skin types.

* Jojoba oil - A penetrating, anti-bacterial oil for eczema and acne.

* Kukui nut oil - Anti-bacterial, anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory is lightweight and has a slight warming of the earth.

* Olive oil - the warming of the earth and relieves stiffness
